DOs & DON’Ts of Ripped Jeans

Ripped jeans have always been a staple item for any wardrobe, but this season they are more essential than ever.

We all know that finding the perfect distressed denim jeans can sometimes feel like searching for a soul mate (even non distressed jeans for that matter). Some are fun while they last, some barely last at all,  and some you’ll just have forever!

There’s rules for wearing ripped jeans? Well, not exactly, just some guidelines to keep you looking chic rather than shabby :)

  • DON’T: Shy away from showing some skin! If your jeans are ripped, let them be. Playing it safe like below runs the risk of just looking strange.

  •  DO embrace the ripped boyfriend jeans, the most comfortable & versatile piece to bring you from winter to Spring/Summer – a wardrobe must have! Even better when paired with something a bit tailored like a blazer or structured tee.

  •  DON’T show too much skin on top. The skin ratio should remain the same as normal jeans, huge rips & crop top just wouldn’t look right! There’s ripped and then there’s TOO ripped.

  •  DO keep it relaxed by pairing it with an oversized jumper/sweater or layers.

  •  DON’T be afraid to take ripped jeans to the next level with a pair of heels. I recommend for bootie for skinnys and stiletto sandals or courts for boyfriends.

  • DO try the white on white trend with ripped jeans. You’ll be killing it!
